I hope the pictures that I took get posted otherwise this post won't make much sense. I hope to grow a crop of Lettuce (different verities) while also a few tomatoes. It can be completely wrapped or let sunlight in. The grow light shelf is adjustable so it can be raised or lowered. I am going to have to experiment with schedules for watering and grow lights while taking some advantage of sunlight. Any suggestions appreciated.
I've been looking to incorporate some solar panels to keep it relatively self-powered. For pushing water up through drip systems, this would stress plants heavily during the night, but if using an airstone (so the roots have water access day or night, but get extra oxygenation during the day), this actually appeals greatly to me.
I was told that the sprayers in the manifold complete the oxygenation process. I'm going to experiment with using the AeroGarden schedule for watering and lighting first on a few lettuce plants. The pump draws very little and the grow lights are only 45w each. I know they sell solar panels that produce 100w.
