Shawn , the Burpee Veranda Red is a dwarf that does very well in my AG Bounties. Sher told me about them, and I think she uses a Harvest. It takes a while to get going, but it's a good long-term producer.

I am going to try the Bush Early Girl.I like the larger tomatoes,and bought some seeds.. Has anyone tried this before? Also going to to do red heirloom pods.both will be in bounty's. I will do only one early girl in one,and two heirloom in another bounty. When planting only two pods is it best to use the two outer ports,or closer together? This is my first time growing tomatoes.

In my Bounties, I use a maximum of two tomato pods. I place them at the far left and far right, to keep the roots as far as possible from the pump and the water level indicator. It also works to put them in the back row, on either side of the light stalk, which keeps the roots out of the pump but not the indicator. AG heirloom pods are great producers. I haven't tried the Bush Early Girls. |

Here's a couple of dwarfs growing nicely in a harvest. They are two different varieties but, surprisingly, they have grown at the same rate, in tandem, like twins! The one on the right is a birdie rouge and the one on the left is a bright yellow variety called monetka. I don't think monetka has been put on this list. They are both about 5" tall and starting to flower so I don't think they will get much bigger. Good choices for growing tomatoes in a harvest. Both came from Heritage Seed Market.

I never liked tomatoes that much either but my wife introduced me to the tomato sandwich. White bread toasted, Mayo, 2 slices of American cheese , sliced tomatoes and salt.. YUM! Far as sauce goes you want Plum tomatoes as they have a lot of meat and less juice.
