I often have similar problems with lettuce in my farms.
I would advise up picking off the lettuce on the outside of each pod. They are getting a little crowded. Then enjoy a nice salad for yourself!
I only use my farms for non-lettuce greens now, such as bok choi, chard, kale, and basil.
When I talked to customer service as to whether they advised me to get a farm, they said that lettuce has trouble tolerating such bright lights, and that they need to raise the lights sometimes.
(When I do grow lettuce in a farm or a bounty or a harvest, I take care to keep the lettuce lettuce trimmed on the outside, and raise the lights when necessary. )
