I am following.
May I ask what vendor are the seeds and how tall are these supposed to get? What Machine? Farm Plus or XL?

The AG is a farm plus so I picked a variety that was listed as growing 16-24". Obviously the grow light only goes to 24" so I'm hoping these plants stay on the lower end of the range.
16 of the plants were just advertised as a generic dwarf sunflower from a seller on Amazon. The other 16 are from Park Seed. They are called "Sunny Smiles".

Day 19. Quite a few didn't sprout which can be good because there is going to be some competition for space. As the planned get taller and start to lean in different directions I think ill be ok.

Love the look of the two Farms stacked and all that green. It is going to be a gorgeous sight once they start to bloom/flower!

Im curious to see how this one turns out. I've grown dwarf sunflowers in my outdoor beds before, but never in my Aerogardens.

So sunflowers grow well in aerogardens.

Thank you very much. They are called Sunny Smiles. I bought the seeds from Park seeds. It seems like they were made for the aerogarden. 52 days from planting to flower.

The last of the photos I'll post. I probably won't plant this variety again since the others are so nice and stay shorter. These get crooked at the top of the stalk because I have to tie them so they lean. Still they grew well.

What a lovely, cheery project! I may just do a Sunny Smile project in the fall. Great inspiration. Thanks.

I have some sunflower seeds coming next week. I am planting them in the far back corner of my back yard. We recently put a fence around the back for Piper and it looks huge and bare. So in that far corner will be sunflowers. Not only will it look nice but will also provide some further privacy from that nosy neighbor.
Plus I hear they will come back year after year. Do not know if that is true or not but time will tell.
