Interesting. It's kind of counterintuitive that less plant would yield more oil, but it does make sense. The ice core was gone for ke as well, along with a bunch of liquid in the bottom.
I was going to pull the plants, but I'll grow them out again.

I tried it again with 25 grams of spearmint (leaves only), but I still didn't get any essential oil. I suppose it's possible that hydroponically-grown mint under a medium strength grow light won't produce an intense enough oil to distill, I'm going to grow peppermint outside this summer and will see how that turns out.

I tried it with some lavender- leaves so not expecting a ton of oil. It did work the way it was supposed to (I cc'd e didn't completely melt, plant matter was almost dry), but only got a tiny amount of oil. Still, progress.
