A poster mentioned growing watermelon....this comes up a lot.
Seems like a tempting idea, BUT... sometimes I would rather take someone else's experience first.
If one has a pump to wreck from overcrowding the bowl, an entire table for a mess, a good Dust Buster, 5 months to waste water , nutes and electricity and a strong stomach for testing the resulting baby watermelon, then give it a go!
Some (like myself) like to try things just for the trying ..just to see if it CAN be done. But as for the watermelon..I will take this guy's podcasting example.
Another thread had a lemon tree. I actually saw a successful meyer lemon tree growing in an AG! it was started from seed. I did try it, but it was a fail for me.
In a way I was glad it was a fail because I don;t think the roots of a tree(nor the trunk) would be good for the machine.
I don;t have months and months of patience either .
ANyway.. this is a great video and I KNOW you will find it interesting.
