wish I knew how to upload a photo but will try to explain, I had my farm XL growing toms for over a year, still producing well and decided it was time to strip and clean, I lost about 3lb of green toms in doing so, ( any ideas what to do with them?) we I separated the watering table to find that the roots had completely filled the water flow channels. clean pump, level gauge etc
Took ages to clean all the section up, anyone have a quick way to clean the encrusted water calcium deposits off? was thinking of CLR, in the ends stiff brush, wire wool and lots of spray beach to shut down any nasties before reuse. I was amazed that I kept toms going for a year, and no doubt would have kept going much longer, anyone done this? do Aero garden sell new top section for farm, given how long it took me to clean it if cheap enough would just buy new set. going to try some standard heirloom seeds and try to keep them down this time. form this it seems I need to go back and clean the other three sections and not keep stuff going so long, (2 farm systems)
How long do you guy run a farm module before strip clean replant?

That is a long time. Very nice, however sorry you lost so many. Have you tried placing them under the lights to finish ripening? As for cleaning, calcium buildup always seems to happen. I have not tried CLR but if you do try a small amount in a small area to make sure it does not effect the unit. I have used a ZEP Foam and also a Barkeepers Friend Foam Spray. While I do not get it all off I get most. I do not own a farm so can not tell you about easier ways to clean. Please check out the Photo Repository thread on how to post pictures.
