I ordered some glorious Figaro dahlia seeds for my Bounty.
Then I realized all dahlias grow tubers. I had thought they were like begonias --some have tubers and some have fibrous roots. And since they were selling dahlia seeds, they must not have tubers.
Oh well, I'll have some pretty dahlias to plant outside later.

How do you know the difference? Were they seeds when they arrived!

Not a mistake. But a huge pollen producer.

Shawn, yes, I ordered seeds (although they are not here yet). Then I read about dahlias on the net and did an image search for dahlia tubers. Some are as big as potatoes! And some are even edible. So I was picturing the AG bowl full of potatoes!!!
Corinne, AWESOME! I read the whole thread. I was going to plant them even though they are slow until I read about the pollen. I have so many allergies that I think I will save those gorgeous flowers for outdoors.
I have decided to plant zinnias in the Bounty instead. Those seeds have been ordered. I also ordered seeds for the second Harvest project.
Gee! I never anticipated how much money I would spend on flower seeds!
I also didn't anticipate how much fun this would be!!!

I forgot about this project. I LOVE it! Another one to put on my To Be Bought/Planted list!
