I hope that you can help me with this basic question: (I took a long break from AG-ing, so I don't remember.)
I seem to have a medical mold problem, so I'm thinking of doing R/R every 2 weeks to prevent mold.
Does that seem unnecessary to you? How often to you R/R?

I have started doing that. It keeps the machine cleaner and keeps the nutrients balanced.
I don't think it's necessary, but I like doing it.

My plants perk up every time I do a R&R. I don't think it's too much, especially if you have a problem with mold.
I'd do it more often except that I need distilled water because my well water burns the plants. And right now, the less trips to the grocery store to refill my containers of distilled water ... well, you get it. I'm feeling stingy when I plan when to R&R, but hopefully this will end soon.

I don't see a problem with that. It you feel it needs it then do it.

Dianne, it’s possible to make distilled water at home with things you may already have in the kitchen. If memory serves, it’s a large pot with a lid and a glass bowl.
