Just bought my first Aerogarden. It is a Harvest 360 because that's about all they had in stock at the time. I have emailed them these two questions but apparently they have no customer service now. It's been two weeks without a response.
First question was, for the Harvest 360, if there is a power outage or you need to unplug to move it or something, will the settings be retained in memory. If not, do you just have to reset everything like you were starting a new garden?
Second question. I have two 6pod seed packets which I have not opened. Can I open a packet and just use part of it (they're different so I want to use part of each)? Can I safely store the pods I don't use for a later time? Didn't really want to open one up until I knew the answer to this.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello and Welcome!
Congratulations on your first Aerogarden. Is your Harvest 360 a basic or elite model? I know with the elite it will save the info for a period of time (dont know that time) with the exception of time and maybe light start time. If not there is a way to reset the number of days.
Pod Kits, you can use some and save the rest. We all do that. Just place them back in the box until you want to use others.

Thanks for the response. Mine is the basic model.
What difference would the number of days make? From what I've read it seems like it just basically turns the lights on and off and recycles the pump every 30 minutes. Apparently also it alerts you if the water is low.
Anyway, can't wait to get started. I can see that it might become addictive. I'm already looking at the farm models before I've even experimented with what I have!

The number of days is kept for you so you don't have to takes notes to know when to clean and add nutrients each month. The timer turns the lights on and off. No big thing, you can do it all manually. A dozen or more units could get confusing tho.
I have two Harvests and when the power goes off all I have to do is reset the time. The other information gets saved. Since you have a more advanced unit you probably won't even need to reset the time. Most all will be saved is my guess.
I put my extra/leftover seeds in a zip lock baggy and put them in the fridge for safe keeping.
