Definitely root rot, I checked on it again and I could HEAR the hydrogen peroxide.
Going to do a R&R with clean water.

i don't get that often, but mainly when it is hot . The water temperature was around 68F, so I don't think that was it. I think it might have been due to it nearly running out of water a few times.

@cornne, any idea what this is or if it's fixable? It's just on my one plant, but it's on several of the leaves and the stems as well. Should I terminate that plant and cut off any part of the other that was touching it?

i would cut it off or remove it. looks like too strong nutrients maybe? If it is just 1 plant, it may not be worth the work to bring it back again. Maybe it is 'time' ?

Most of the plant looks like that, so I'm not sure. The plant right next it it, in the same Sprout, looks perfectly healthy and is thriving after the R&R. I'll remove it just to be on the safe side, in case it is a fungal disease. It looks kinda like rust.

I spy, with my little eye, the next generation of poppies.

@cornne, one of the seed pods dried out, burst open, and shot seeds who knows where. If I find poppies growing in another AeroGarden, now I know why...
When should I clip off the seed pods to let them dry? Or should I do something different? I didn't even notice this one turning brown, I just checked on it today and noticed that it was open with only one seed left in it.

I have no answer to your question because the seeds I have saved are those which simply fall on the deck when the plants are ready...marigold, mimulus and vinca, unlike fruit like toms and peppers.
I would imagine that it being a field flower, it would just drop the seeds , but it is something I have no answer for, not being knowledgeable in that area at all. Sorry. BUT.. I just went over on the tube and watched 2 which DO have your answer! try these, Error

I like the idea of snipping the pods off and letting them dry, but I also have found that I get a much higher germination rate if I let seeds dry on the plant. I was looking up ways to harvest seeds in general, which led me to an old purchase I forgot about, and so now I have a solution

I bet you had to be very gentle tying that netting. I hope you get lots and lots of seeds.

Cut off the seed pods and hung them up to dry. I might get a few more flowers out of the plant but I'm also considering just cleaning it up and getting ready to grow something new.

The Sprout has been cleaned up and is ready to go for the Labor Day GAL.
As far as the seed pods go, a few of them were completely empty, and others only had one seed... I got a total of 5 seeds, which seems unusual to me. I hope they're viable.
