It looks like only one or two are meant to grow at a time in one unit. I transferred over the three from the sprout and filled up all the other slots with additionals. One of the originals has taken over the unit. I'm thinking about culling all of the others. On the plus side it is staying short so far. Thanks for inquiring!

Woke up this morning to my sunflower looking like this. Had plenty of water. I've checked the roots (looks fine) and added more water. The smaller plants it was overshadowing look fine. If it hasn't perked up by the end of the day I'll remove it and hope the smaller plants do well.

Oh, no, zyphax ! That is heart breaking! I wonder if it could be a disease. Fusarium wilt does that to tomatoes. I just found this blog post that might be relevant. Link

WOW! Thank you for the article. I'll take another look and see if I can find these symptoms.

So no perking up. Went in for the deep cut. Trimmed off all of the big leaves. The small nodal leaves look good, so I left them. The small sunflowers on either side are pale but not looking bad considering they'd been so overshadowed for so long. Lowered the light a bit after taking this picture. Time will tell.
