I harvested the last of the Sheepnose peppers. They were so sweet and crunchy and juicy. I used them to make sausage and peppers, with my newly arrived shipment of Vidalia onion as well. Dee-lush!

Thank you! I felt a little guilty to “waste” the fresh crunchiness by using them in a cooked dish, but the sweetness was so amplified.

It's true. Nothing is as good as literally fresh, especially living here in the winter. The summer is good because we have a very intense, amazing growing season in Alaska. The winters are another story. Produce is "okay", but certainly not fresh picked. Besides, when you grow it yourself there's something extra about it that makes it that much better.
