Several of these are starting to change to purple. I hope they continue to yellow.

Huh. This plant has been a surprise along the way, hasn’t it?!

Yes, and this has me wondering whether these might actually be the Ecuadorian Brown chili. That pepper is obviously an Aji pepper too. And the Burpee site says their Hot Lemon peppers are from Ecuador.

Hold that thought, folks. I have no idea why those peppers on the right plant are turning purple. I don't think they anything other than Hot Lemon Peppers, now. The left half of the photo below is from a pepper on the left plant. The right half is from a pepper on the right plant. Things are sorting themselves out.

Definitely getting some yellow there.
So, what kind of pepper is the purple plant?

First off, the purple peppers are all on the right plant. They have been turning purple for some time. I think this is some sort of anomaly. They were showing purple well before the peppers should show any color change. They are also the peppers that were closest to the lights. I have seen unusual purpling on peppers from other gardens. Also on peppers closest to the lights.
Both plants now have yellow tips on 3-5 peppers per plant. I cant wait until one is fully ripe. A friend of mine grew these three years ago outdoors. They have a wonderful citrus flavor with a serious punch that I felt rivaled habanero heat. That same friend and I both work at the same facility now, since the old one closed.

Mike, now that you mention it, some of the jalapenos near the light (right near it) are purple and then turning red.

Me too. But the first one goes to my friend Ralph. He's the one that enlightened me on these peppers. He will also be transferring to the old facility, work wise, when it reopens next year. I've put too much work into this facility to go back to one that will require being set up from scratch, again.
Five years ago, I was transferred to the newest plating facility. The largest one in the world. You could fit three football stadiums inside that facility. That was six months before it opened. We had to use porta-potties outdoors during a rather ferocious Winter. I had to create a parts crib from scratch, stock it, and enter ALL of the parts into the new Maintenance Management software we were starting to use. 60 hours a week was tearing me apart physically. When the opportunity to go back to the old facility arose, I grabbed it.
For the past two years, I've been essentially doing the same thing at a molding facility. The only difference is, the crib was already there. But none of the parts for this molding facility were in the system yet. Here I am working close to 60 hours a week again. I'll be 60 in a couple of years. There is no way I am transferring back to the old facility that has been completely remodeled, just to start from scratch again.
Sorry to rant. I worked 58 hours this past week. And I took Friday afternoon off for an appointment with a surgeon.

Mike rant away. I can understand your wanting to stay where you are. You know where everything is. You are part of the place now. To start from scratch would drive me nutty.
I hope you can get some more time for YOU and not work as much.
As for the surgeon, how did it go?

I have an MRI on 12/5. Follow up with the surgeon on 12/22. But my gall stones were bothering me yesterday. I think I'll go ahead with the surgery. I was surprised to find out 40-50% of people my age have gall stones, though.
I am looking forward to having four days off in a row, this week. We will also be shut down from 12/22/17 until 1/02/18. I love Christmastime. Not only do I get to see friends and family, but extended time off, most of which are paid days days off.

It will be time off well deserved for you. I also hope that the surgery goes smoothly and you heal quickly. Will you have someone to help you after if needed.
