Hey ya'll! Long post ahead!
It's definitely fall time where I'm at, so I'm excited that I get to continue my gardening indoors this year. At the moment I'm currently growing in 1 farm 12 xl, 1 sprout (second one coming in later today) 2 bounties, and 5 harvest.
In the farm, I'm growing 3 fairytale eggplants, a dwarf snow pea, a green bean and 3 oxheart carrots. After about 10 days, the eggplants are finally sprouting. The green bean has also sprouted, however it is currently growing down. The snow pea practically grew over night and is growing like crazy. I made a time-lapse video of it, so I think I might post that later.
Then in the sprout (which I'm keeping in the kitchen), I'm growing G.Basil, dill and mint. The Basil has been growing since the 2nd of October, so about a month. I moved it over from anther machine. The mint and dill are in their 2nd week and have sprouted as of yesterday. Cilantro, and parsley will be going into the other sprout once it gets here.
Im using my 2 bounties (which I forgot to mention in my first post, opps!) to grow peppers and tomatoes. In the first bounty here, I have Poblano, Bell pepper, the super hot from the AeroGarden site and a jalapeño. I also planted some faster growing plants in there as well to utilize the space better. I'm testing out two types of bunching onions from seed, a cherry belle radish and a watermelon radish.
In the other bounty, I'm growing, there heirloom cherry reds, the golden cherries, and a chocolate sprinkle cherry propagated from my yard. The red cherries were planted a month ago and are forming flowers. The one that's in the bounty isn't the happiest, as it was just recently moved there, but she's starting to bounce back. The chocolate sprinkle's flowers have dried up and has started to form tomatoes 🥰 I do have a strawberry crown from my patio in there as well, but I'm not sure if it will stay. But she's growing too
Then on to my harvest! here is my latest buy. I planted 2 Dino kales, 2 rainbow chards and 2 Georgia Collards. I also have these growing in my garden, but a wind storm destroyed a lot of the crop so I'm really excited to grow these indoors.
I'm also growing Asian greens, which I love to stir fry. In here I have 2 Early Jade Chinese broccoli, Savory tatsoi (which has just sprouted!), Dwarf bak choi, Shanghai par choi and Chinese Park choi. I'm also growing these outdoors so it will be cool to do a taste comparison.
Then next to that is the first AeroGarden I was actually able to get my hands on. So there's a mix of things in there. Currently there is some Thai basil, which is getting moved this week, some more off the chocolate tomatoes from my garden and the other red cherry tomato--which is a lot happier since it hasn't been moved lol. I looks like this garden is actually started to develop and algee problem though so it's time to nip that issue in the bud.
After this, I have my harvest that I'm fully using to experiment with root veggies. I currently have french breakfast radishes in the back, sliky hybrid turnips in the front with one more of the oxheart carrot in the front (because I accident killed one of the turnip 😭)
And my last garden is dedicated to salad greens! I'm just growing the greens that came standard in the AeroGarden kit so I'll list them later and just post the pictures below. These are about a week old and looking good to me.
I'm excited to see how these gardens will do over the next few weeks, and how they compare to some of the things that I have growing outdoors.
