Several years ago I modded an older AeroGarden to use CFLs. Has anyone else done it and if so what temperature CFLs do you use?
I'm getting ready to order some CFLs and am trying to decide what to use in my 3 bulb garden.

I never owned a CFL but several of our members have. One of them might be able to answer you.

you would need the adapters so they screw in. I don;t know where you would find them now, though..maybe ebay?? Anyway I used
Energy Miser FE-IISB-23W-65K - 23 Watt CFL Light Bulb - Compact Fluorescent - T2 - 100 W Equal - 6500K Full Spectrum Daylight - 80 CRI - 70 Lumens per Watt
But you can get any bulb with those specs. Now those worked for me just fine, but there are some growers who recommend less than 6500 k. It is up to the grower.

Yes I'm using 6500K screw in bulbs but I'm wondering if I should change to or just add some bulbs that are less blue and warmer.
There seem to be several thoughts.
5000K. 6500K plus 2700K, or just 6500K.
Comments please............

what results are you getting with the 6500k that would make you want to change?

They seem to be OK but I'm just wondering about getting closer to natural daylight.
I've also read (somewhere) that older bearing plants do a bit better with redder light.
Therefor I am asking if any one has any experience with such :-)

I have had excellent results with the full spectrum Sansi LED grow bulb spotlights at 4400 kelvin.
I don't know how that translates to CFL.
