Has anyone ever had an AG Pump go out on them before. I have an AG Pro 100 and it appears that the pump has stopped working. I have tow beautiful jalapeño plants in the AG and I am worried that they will die while I am waiting to get a replacement pump in the mail from Amazon. Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the plants alive? Will they be fine for two days without any water circulation? Thanks for your advice.

I have had pumps go out on me, hence always keeping spares on hand. As for air circulation in the water, maybe using a straw and blowing bubbles into the water?

Regarding pump failure, did you double check the dial on the front? I thought I had one die on me, but it turned out that I had accidentally switched it to 0 when I was cleaning it.

gsaxon, it's just my opinion, but I think your peppers will be okay for two days.
If you want to stir a little air into the water, you could lift the deck with the plants and plunge it up and down a couple of times a day.

Question: did it stop working when you did a dump and refill? They do that some times when all the water is taken out and it is not broken in that circumstance.

Thanks for all the advice. The pump has been making noise for a few days, and yesterday it just was not running. I will try the straw method and blow air into the water every few hours. It is frustrating, but clearly a common problem. I did check the dial and it is still set correctly.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I have pictures here somewhere if you want to clean it out and make sure there are no roots or nute buildup. (maybe in this thread)

For all AGers, do yourself a favor and get spare pumps. I used one of the two I had setting up the group of current projects I have going. I had a Bounties pump go out in the second week of a jalapeno project. Than God I had spares. One of those spares came out of a old Extra basin.
I now have four new spare pumps. The jalapeno pump started whining loudly at 1am. I found the water to be quite warm, too.
You will use the spares.

Thanks Mike. I am learning the hard way, this time, but I will be getting some spare pumps for the harvests!

Got a new pump on Amazon. Hopefully 2 of the three pepper plants will survive. The leaves on the third plant are wilting pretty severely and may or may not recover. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Also make sure the water is not HOT. If it is add a few ice cubes but not too many to make it cold. If it is room temp or luke warm it is ok.
