Wow! I was expecting to see a dwarf pea plant like a Tom Thumb.
Yours are a happy surprise!

It was planted four days later than the cucumber plant behind it. They have been matching each other in height and aggressiveness in conquering the shared trellis assembly between them ever since. It is like a sibling rivalry. They both like playing with the controls of their Bounty’s too as their conductive leaves, branches and tendrils touch the touchpad and turn off lights, put them in vacation mode, change the time via the QuickPlant button, etc. I have to keep disciplining them. This is so much fun!

Your AG adventures are so much more exciting than mine! Plants messing with the Bounty controls! Incredible!

Are you pollinating the flowers? I am eyeing up peas as a potential 2021 project and gathering info.

Beautiful! Any special treatment or advice? How many did you plant?

Rebeccae5, I have only been AeroGardening for 3 months so I am certainly no expert at this. Plants need light and nutrients to thrive. I give my entire garden 17 hours of light a day, which is higher than the default duration for the Bounty. I did this to maximize the growth rate of lettuce when I first started and just stuck with it. Others on this forum have good luck with the default settings of the planters so it is your choice. After the first six weeks or so of following the AeroGarden recommended feeding schedule some of my really densely packed plants looked unhappy. I starting using a cheap TDS meter to measure nutrients and found most of my planters were nowhere near the recommended values for the plants. I now do weekly feedings of AeroGarden nutrients based on measured TDS levels after the third week of sprout growth. The recommended TDS for peas is between 580 and 1260 ppm so I target 600 to 900 ppm. I use Reverse Osmosis filtered water so I add CaliMagic at the rate recommended on the bottle for the initial fill and for a drain & refill but otherwise use 50% of the recommended rate with top-off replacement water. Speaking of top-off water, I use AeroVoirs to keep the water level in the planters very constant and the nutrient solution concentration stable. Plants consume water and nutrients at different rates. I know how much top-off water is used by having quart dots marked on the side of my AeroVoir. I perform a drain and refill on all of my planters every 4 to 6 weeks.
Probably my strongest piece of advise would be to take care not to introduce bugs into your garden. Do not bring any plants into the house from the outside and do not work on your indoor garden after doing outdoor lawn and garden work without first taking a shower and changing cloths.
Regarding your second question, I initially planted one pea plant and one pepper plant in the Bounty. 18 days after planting, I transplanted the pepper into a new Bounty and added two more pea plant seeds to the pea Bounty so now there are three. Most of the growth that you see is from the initial plant. The other two are barely taller than the lowest level of the trellis as they are half of the big guy’s age.
Good luck!

Looks great. Hope you get lots of snap peas.
This specific variety is one I've also grown in the aerogarden in the past. The snap peas are so tasty!

OMG these are the best pea pods that I have ever tasted! They are fabulously sweet, juicy and tender.

You are turning into a master Aerogardener!
I would order the pea seeds but I just received FOUR (two large) seed orders this week. That will have to do for a while.

I am so glad you are enjoying the fruits (or peas in this case) of your labor.

Hi. That’s a beautiful plant you have! I am pretty new to AeroGarden, but I want to grow snap peas. Based on the fact that you are the only post on here though, I’m wondering if they are a tricky plant to grow?
I tried once but the seeds got moldy instead of sprouting. Any advice?

Re: the extra light time. Do you just turn the lights on and off my hand, or is there a way to change the setting to automatically stay on for 17 hours?

Hello and Welcome!
I have grown some snap peas but I do not remember what type. Other members have also grown them although they may not have recorded it. Other types of peas and beans have also been grown.
May I ask how do you germinate the seeds? Do you just plant, use a paper towel, etc? What machine are you using? As for lighting, me myself use whatever the setting for vegetables are.

Re: the extra light time. Do you just turn the lights on and off my hand, or is there a way to change the setting to automatically stay on for 17 hours? What is your Aerogarden model? The Bounty Elites and Farms allow you to customize the light settings, and I think that some other models do, too, but I'm not positive. If you can't customize the light settings, no problem! Just use the peppers or tomatoes settings, which will give your peas 15 or 15.5 hours. The peas will grow more slowly, but they'll do fine. In my experience, it's the nutrients that matter most for veggies. Your snap peas will probably want extra AG nutes and maybe small amounts of supplements like CalMag+ and Koolbloom once they get big. R&Rs matter, too.
