Hi,
I just planted my farms yesterday in a very cool room with little natural light. There is only condensation on two of my pod covers. Is the condensation necessary or a sign that the water is too cold? How soon should condensation appear? I brought a space heater in last night to warm it up. I do apologize as I realize this fretting might seem silly so early. Normally when starting seeds, I would place a heat mat under them but this is my first experience with Aerogardens and I don’t want to mess it up. I also noticed that some pods still look dry this morning. Is there action I should be taking? Thanks for any advice.

rebeccae5, condensation under the pod covers is often a sign that the seeds are germinating. It is normal.
No condensation under the covers may mean that the seeds have not started germinating yet, although I have had seeds germinate without producing condensation.
Exactly how cold is the room? What kind of seeds are you trying to germinate? Some seeds will not gerrminate unless the temperature is right for them. Or they will germinate, but it will take longer.

Thanks, Sher! Should I be concerned about the dry pods? How long does it take before they appear moist?

I would like to add that not all covers will get condensation. I have grown successfully with and without condensation. Just be sure that you remove the domes before any leaves hit them

The parts of the pods where the seeds sit down in that hole should be plenty moist from the water, so even if the very top of the pod is dry, the part that needs to be wet is probably wet. Pull the grow basket out and see- won’t hurt anything!

I am sorry I totally missed the question about dry sponges. Take the pod out and while in Pump Test Mode (Unless it is running 24/7) check that water is coming out of the tiny port. If not you may have to turn the knob on the pump to increase intensity.
