Low maintenance and good looking seeds for the Harvest 360--- looking to get everyone's advice.
I have two Harvest 360's that are currently clean and empty. I'd like to grow something easy to take care of and pretty. Main reasons being that we are moving into a new home in the next week and bringing a puppy home this month. Things will be crazy! But I still want to have something growing in my AGs.
Open to herbs, flowers, and vegetables. I have lots of herb seeds stashed away. We have Earthboxes outside for veggies though.
My last crops in the Harvests were multiple tatsoi (baby boy choy) in one unit, and watercress / chives in the second unit. With the lack of free time, I really didn't harvest much and the watercress and chives got pretty overgrown.
I'm considering basil since it's something we do eat, but it gets so huge!

waterphoenix, nano geraniums are a pretty Harvest project, and they are easy care. I have grown perpetual spinach (chard) in a Harvest, but germination can be erratic.
Flowers would probably be the most hands off project. All herbs and veggies will require frequent pruning/harvesting.
Take a look at the Members' Gardens board and the GAL board for ideas.
A new home and a new puppy! Congratulations! Your life is not going to be boring!

A new home and puppy, so exciting.
As for what to grow, I think is you are looking for easy, Basil is a good one. If looking for flowers, I have successfully grown Nano Geraniums, Honey Scented Alyssum "Summer Romance" which had a wonderful scent, Snaptinis, Moulin Rouge Pansies, and Twinny Snapdragons. Then there is always the Sweet Heat Peppers from Park Seed.

Thank you for the recommendations! I have never grown flowers in the AG before but I think I will try it out! The nano geraniums are very pretty, but park seed only sells the bright pink ones right now, and I am looking for other colors. Goodness I know... good thing is that germination time will fly by as I will not be "watching the pot boil" and hopefully there will be blooms in no time.

Thank you for all the recs Shawn! I love the idea of the Honey Scented Alyssum. It would be wonderful to enjoy the scent of that in the morning room. I wonder how long those will bloom. I am looking at your photos from 2018 and they are so pretty. I also really like the Snaptinis. Maybe I will go that route. I think the Twinny Snapdragons could get a little tall for my Harvest unit. The pansies I think I read someone said they smelled funny inside - I had been thinking about buying the Moulin Rouge seeds for outdoors previously though.

I've really enjoyed the portulaca and the celosia. They both fit nicely in Harvests.

They are wonderful I grew them. One note, they do make a mess as leaves fall.

Shawn I ordered some Snaptini seeds for one of the units. Still considering what to do for the second unit, perhaps the Alyssum but they do seem to have a wide spread.
