I don't like how the AG handles seed germination. I find myself checking every single flow from each hole is adequate to make sure the grow deck is seated properly when setting up a new project. If you don't, your plants may not get the necessary water and oxygen in the early stages. I decided to handle the germinating of seeds differently. I purchased the Super Sprouter propagation system. The system is designed to start seeds in Rockwell cubes. The kit I purchased comes with the tray and dome (seen below), a heat mat and an 18" T5 grow lamp. I have also purchased a thermostat to control the heat mat temperature. My idea incorporates a Park Seed 60-cell grow block. (this is inside the propagation kit in the photo) This holds the sponges we use in the Aerogarden in place for the seeds to germinate. You put about 1" of water in the tray. Place the grow block in the water and plant the seeds. Then you lay out the heat mat. Put the propagation kit on the mat. Plug the mat into the thermostat. Run the thermostat sensor into the water in the tray. Secure it with the suction cup. Then put the dome in place. Then adjust the thermostat settings. Then lay the grow light length wise in the slot on the dome. I will plug the grow light into a 24-hour timer. Unfortunately, my propagation kit arrived damaged. Amazon can't say it was UPS' fault because they tried to cover the damage up with a piece of Amazon paper tape. This should be interesting. The equipment I bought is listed below. Looks good Mike, What will you be germinating in this and after germination where will they go? In the AG's?

Very interesting, mike! Do let us know how this goes. Especially timing from start to moving them.

I like that seed starting system, mike.
I have a Vivosun heating mat that gets way too hot. I didn't realize there were thermostats available for them.
