Started one seed in rockwool and placed it into a 20oz bottle, filled with nutrient solution at a rate of 5ml AG nutes and 1ml CALiMAGic per gallon.  |

I harvested all of the pods but two - I will keep those to regrow. So far, the generational history of this pea is Seed Savers Exchange -> AeroGarden Sprout -> AeroGarden Sprout -> Kratky, so if I replant these seeds then it will be the fourth generation since I started growing them!  |

These are getting closer to the point where I can collect the seeds! I managed to get a picture with a good amount of backlight to the pods.  |

I would recommend it! You can save seeds from just about anything, but some are trickier than others. Peas (let the seeds dry in the pod) and peppers (take the seeds out of a red pepper, let them dry) are two of the easiest. |

I had saved seeds from Marigolds I grew in the AG and planted the seeds outside in a planter and they grew. Well those the birds or storms did not damage.

I'm considering this a success! I saved some seeds from it tonight - if you've never saved seeds from a pea before, it's easy to do - you just leave the pods on the plant and let them completely dry out naturally. They'll toughen up and turn a light tan color when they are ready, although normally I prefer to wait until the plant dies off completely and let the plant dry out for a week or so.  |
