This weekend I'm setting up my greens light pointing at the peppers from the side for supplemental lighting. I want to assist the ripening, if I can.

I just picked up some Spring water and a new can of fresh sea salt. That first one should go in to start fermenting tomorrow. There is still a little green around the stem. I put the additional light out to help with ripening this morning. Added 24 ml Nutes, 20 ml Mooch, 3 ml KoolBloom.

They are gorgeous, and I like how the side light spotlights them.

Dang it! They are collapsing from the weight of the peppers.

Do you have any of those tiny bungees? I have used them to secure drooping tomato branches to the pole and to stronger branches.

The Aerogarden Farm trellis system (magnetic) is strong enough to support my bell and banana pepper plants, but you'd have too long to wait if you tried to order one now. I would try making a trellis from rubber-coated plant tie wire. The wire is probably available from local nurseries or big box stores like Home Depot.

I was too tired last night to do anything. I will see what I can do after work.

The trellis seems to be holding. But there was a lot of damage. One plant is pretty well gone. I had to harvest four large green peppers due to a broken stem. I should have used the trellis earlier.
I ate the small green one. It was the size of a quarter. It is quite hot. I don't think cayenne level, but it wasn't full sized yet either. It does taste a bit like a habanero. But it was green. It tasted green. I've never tasted a green habanero before, I've always let them ripen. But even green it tasted good. I put the three other harvested peppers on the grow deck in hopes they ripen on their own.

Yes, hoping for the best! It would be a shame to lose any more of those lovely sauce-bound peppers!

Well, the left garden is pretty much gone. All the leaves are limp. The right garden is healthy. We'll have to see on the peppers from the left garden. a couple that are still attached are ripening. Here are some that are fully ripe from the left. I just have a couple starting to change on the right.

I won't get as much as I hoped, but there will be enough to work with (I think).
Have any of you heard of mushroom herb? My sister left some for me at my Dad's house. Opinions?

No, but please let us know what it is and how it tastes. I wonder if it's made with powdered mushrooms, or some oriental creation?

No, I looked it up. It is a type of leafy greens that taste like mushrooms.
