How do the peppers taste when they ripen? Sweeter? Less hot? That pepper is gorgeous.  It is the first one to get to this point...so haven't tasted yet. I think it is supposed to turn orange, so I'm holding off a bit. I love the color, as it won't mess with the "red" of tomatoes so much, like the green ones do...in salsa. |

Day 142: Did a full R&R on the Orange Spice & Pumpkin Spice Pepper plants. Or should I call them trees!? They are huge with a root system to match. Last time, we did a cheater R&R, in that we didn't remove the deck/plants, so we didn't trim roots and fully rinse the bowl...so they needed it. While I had them in the kitchen, I took some time to prune back some leaves too. Allowing more airflow is always a good thing. Fresh water, new nutes and everyone seems happy.
