Taste Test Time
I wanted something non-meat for dinner. I decided on a bean and cheese burrito. I used refried beans, cheese, tortilla, salsa and the largest jalapeno from this garden.
It had nice jalapeno flavor with medium (3,000 - 3,500 SHU at most). There was a pleasant underwhelming lingering burn. Jalapenos can reach 8,000 SHU. Some hybrids are as hot as 10,000 SHU. This wasn't anywhere near that.
Over all, a very nice taste.

This one was the second pepper I ate. I accidentally knocked a small one off cleaning the deck last week. It had almost no heat. (or flavor)

I just can't wait to get some jars in the fridge. I have a whole shelf set aside. The hot cherries are the only bust this year.
