It's early, but today I set up my Bounty Elite (freshly sanitized) for the upcoming 11/14/21 GAL. The pods are from an AG "Flower Lovers" kit with a 2020 "Sell by" date. Garden is unplugged, without water or nutrients, until the 14th. Pods are: Yellow Coreopsis, Mini Pink Petunia, Lavender; Zinnia, Calendula, Durango Marigold, Snapdragon; Orange Gazania, and Dianthus.

The Flower GAL garden ended up in a new Bounty Elite, placed next to the one that was converted to a Rescue garden. I added water to the Flower GAL garden today!

It's Day 4, and everything has germinated except the snapdragon and the lavender. Naturally it's the lavender that I want the most, because I haven't grown it before. The zinnia and marigold pods are up far enough to warrant removal of the domes.

The lavender in mine is super tiny! Hard to spot.

Day 5, and everything has germinated except the coreopsis. Zinnia, marigold, gazania, and calendula are tall enough to do without domes.

Woo hoo! So exciting. I should take a look to see if I need to remove any domes too!

Day 11. Still no signs of life from the Coreopsis. Lavender and Mini Petunia have germinated, but aren't nearly ready to shed their domes. Zinnia (far left) and Marigold (tallest) are still ahead of the rest.

They are coming to life! Don't you just love watching them grow!?

Day 13. Just now I looked inside the coreopsis sponge, and found only an ungerminated seed. So I replaced the pod with a Cascading Petunia pod. The CPs usually germinate quickly and grow fast, so the pod should catch up.

It's Day 18, and the flower garden is growing, except for the Coreopsis that didn't germinate, and the Mini Pink Petunia that germinated but was too tuckered out to continue. Coreopsis is replaced with Cascading Petunia, and Mini Petunia is replaced with Polka Dot Mix. Both of those still have the domes, as does Lavender. Lavender has just reached the grow deck level, and will soon lose the dome. Polka Dot Mix and Cascading Petunias are my two all-time AG favorites among the flowers. PDM isn't actually a flower, but it's extremely decorative; and my plantings come out looking exactly like the AG sales photos without any extra effort. Back row left to right: Cascading Petunia, Polka Dot Mix, Lavender Middle row right to left: Snapdragon, Marigold, Calendula, Zinnia. Front row left to right: Gazania, Dianthus

Way ahead of mine too. But I also just added nutes for the first time.

Maybe it's the extra light from the Bounty Elite that's accelerating the flower growth in my GAL? I haven't done anything special. I do find that the AG nutrients are all that many plants need.

Day 25. The Calendula and Marigold have been moved to the rear, because they were shading the late-bloomers. I've had to prune the Marigold a little to keep it in its space. Dianthus and snapdragon, at the middle right, are doing fine. Lavender at right front, still under a grow dome, is weak but alive. The replacement Polka Dot Mix in the back is doing nothing-- the seeds may be too old. Replacement Cascading Petunia has germinated. Gazania is growing slowly. Zinnia, as usual, is growing vigorously, and already has a flower bud. 🙂
