I have thought about a larger unit, but space is a concern, I do have room for one more harvest though, so may give it a shot in one of my current harvests to try it out before I get another unit. Right now, I have an AG Heirloom Red and an AG Mighty Mini growing in a Bounty, and I happened to take a photo today. It's clear that the Mighty Mini on the right will do great in a Harvest (blooms and tomatoes can be seen), and the Heirloom will probably be okay, too (blooms at top in the back), if you prune it regularly to keep it out of the lights. In the photo, the trellis rises 5-1/2" above the grow deck, and the lights are at 10". You can't see the lights in the photo, but there is room for the plants to grow upwards another 3" before I'll have to prune or raise the lights. 🍅 Great phot and lovely healthy plants! Looks like a very productive mini.

Will keep trying to figure it out... <img src="https://i.vgy.me/Iw6m3Y.jpg" alt="Iw6m3Y.jpg"> They keep showing up as links instead of photos no matter what I choose, so will see if I can find an answer from someone who has used this platform...

Here are my 4 gardens! the Paris island romaine is the fastest one so far. I also have some herbs in dirt that do fine for me in winter above. These are my own seeds all romaine types Chicarita Truchas and Dragoon. All from Johnnys seeds. Dill and basil in the back from the AG herb pod kit, and 4 cilantro pods started from my own seed with the baggie method. The heirloom lettuce AG pod kit, one didn't germinate so I put some spinach seed in the back left spot, hoping it works out. And the romaine AG pod set, looks to be all the same type, they are not labeled with any name but Romaine, but they look good. Probably the Paris Island by the look of them. At this point they are not really using any water to speak of, the reservoir is still full. I imagine that will change as they grow. I'm using rainwater that I have for bonsai use, as we are on a well. Looks like I need to do some calcium? The AG romaine pods plants are getting slight tip burn. But none of the others are showing it, so I'll let it go for a bit. Hooray little gardens...

Sooo found the units on sale for 69 for harvest elite today. Got two more units, one for jalapeño and one for tomato’s guess I’m hooked… got the mighty mini and the golden harvest cherry tomato so they should be short enough

Yep, this is the place for people like us--as you said, it's wonderful being able to grow things so easily. I'm looking forward to seeing all your gardens progressing. You probably don't need anything more than the AG nutrients in the recommended amounts before the plants reach high growth mode and/ or start setting fruit. The AG Golden Harvest tomato has always been a good producer for me, with nothing more than AG nutes--but I use good quality city tap water, not rainwater. If you add CalMag after the fruit starts to set, they seem to taste a little sweeter.

Update for my now 8 unit garden... (6 Harvest Elite, 2 Harvest Elite Slim) I've had several harvests of large salads from my Harvest Elites, and the cilantro continues to develop although relatively slowly compared to the lettuce greens. I have 6 tomatos that have germinated in the new Harvest Elite Slims and my Jalapeños have germinated in the last Harvest Elite. I've tossed all but the dill for herbs as I don't really use basil, and wanted the spaces for all cilantro. Basil grown with the lettuce seems to move it's scent into the greens, and I'm not a huge fan of basil... (unless it's in Thai food!) So I've sown one whole Harvest Elite with spinach seed, have yet to see any germinate... Being patient though, as they may yet go. I have tossed after one cutting the heirloom lettuces that came with a unit and though they grow well, I do prefer the Romaine varieties. I have a whole unit with Paris Island, and 2 units with a mix of Dragoon, Chicarita and Truchas. These last three I got from Johhnys seed, and they are super crisp and fairly upright. I've been harvesting at about 6" leaves, just enough to tear in half for good salad size. I forgot to save space for my Frisee seed, will have to figure out what to do when I get those. I have filled up my designated space so will work within the units I have. Maybe if spinach won't go I'll do frisee in that one. I also may find the Jalapeños to be too tall for my unit but figured I would try and see if I can prune them to the height I need and still get fruit. I have added 3 aeroVoirs to the three units with tomatos and pepper, as I know they will be the thirsty ones. So far I top off my lettuces every other day or so, have changed the water out once on those, and plan on doing a full cut down of the plants a few days before I leave for any length of time to see if they can do without additional reservoir. At least lettuce grows so fast, that even if I loose the plants I can restart after a vacation. Wondering if that would hurt the units to have them go dry, but I imagine the pump just stops running at low water alert. I used the black bag trick suggested in another thread, (thanks!) but did a modification to the side that I can see, I cut a long square opening, and filled it with clear tape back to back so I can see the fill level without taking the bag off. It's dark but you can see if you use a flashlight. My shelf above is close to the top of the aerovoir, so is a pain to get bags on and off... This is the most fun I've ever had with indoor growing in the winter!

Of course my husband already knows I’m crazy, as I have a large bonsai collection too. He asked me if the third salad from the gardens meant that it was down to around $400 per salad now…
