Anyone had luck growing mung bean sprouts in the micro greens trays? Thanks for any advice! I've grown only 1 garden with microgreens, but not mung bean sprouts. I would like to try growing them, as we do enjoy them. If you decide to try them, I hope you'll share your experience with us! Welcome to AGA!

A long time ago, I grew mung bean sprouts in a mason jar with a wire mesh lid. I think that I rinsed them daily, is all.
I've grown microgreens in a Bounty, and I don't see any reason why you couldn't use the Microgreens insert to sprout mung beans. The larger seeds in the microgreens seed mix packets take longer to sprout, so you probably want to experiment with a single kind of seed until you figure out what works best.
You do want to use a mat material that is at least as thick as the AG felt that comes with the kit. AG is sold out of that felt whenever I've looked, but you can buy mat material online at places like True Leaf and cut it to shape. Don't buy the cheapest, lightest weight mat unless you plan to harvest by snipping, because the mat fibers get entangled with the roots of the microgreens.
