Moved these from growlers to the Bounty. I had to trim the basil roots up pretty good to get them into the deck, hopefully I didn't do too much damage to it:

The basil survived the root trimming I put it through to get it into the machine! It's not super happy-looking, but I'm sure it'll perk back up. This is also the first time I've successfully grown hydroponic cilantro, and I'm super excited about it!  |

Yay for successful hydroponic cilantro!  When I finally got a curly parsley plant going--after months of nurturing--it made me really respect the growers who produce curly parsley in great quantities for supermarkets! 🛒 |

It's amazing how different people have such different experiences with the same plants - like parsley has always gone absolutely bonkers for me, both in hydroponics and every bit of soil I've ever shoved seeds in. Cilantro has gone nuts in every single bit of soil I've ever shoved seeds in but never thrived in hydroponics for me until now, and I've always been amazed at Shawn's ability to get it to come up in AG! Probably has something to do with different growing conditions in each home, but I think it's absolutely fascinating! |

The basil is still going strong! The cilantro has gotten pretty scraggly.

The cilantro had bolted, so I took it out. Now just a really big basil!

I just tasted this because I was planning on harvesting and drying today, but it tastes like Thai basil!! This is Cardinal Basil, which I got because it's supposed to have really pretty flowers, but I thought it was supposed to taste more like regular basil. Not a fan of Thai basil, so ending this today and planting regular basil in its place!! |

At least you cured my basil envy!  Hopefully my trusty old Genovese basil ends up big and pretty enough for envy too!  Got two pods of it in this machine now! |

I think a pretty basil plant is attractive enough to be used as a foliage houseplant.  |
