Don't get me wrong, I love my aerogardens.
I've always been impressed by their design and high-quality components.
WITH THAT SAID... There are a few things about them that drives me nuts and leads me to ask, "what were they thinking?"
Here's my list. Please add your "what were they thinking?" to this thread...
1. On a bounty, why did they put the watering port directly above a touch screen?
When you spill even a drop, it executes a command leaving you wonder all day what you just changed!
2. Likewise, you can't temporarily disable the touch screen in order to wipe it off! How are you suppose to clean it?
3. On a harvest, why do I have to get up at 5 or 6 a.m. in order to set the light cycle? I'm usually awake in the evening when the 15 hours are up.
How about press the button once to set the ON time OR press the button twice to set the OFF time instead?
4. On a harvest, who designed a water port cover with two indentations for your fingers BUT with a smooth, tapered grip that is damn near impossible to hang on to? How about putting some little grooves on those sides so you can grip it!
5. Somebody at aerogarden has gone overboard on using little plastic tabs.
Taking apart the grow deck to clean it is a many multiple swear word event at my house. They are tough little buggers though as I've really only broken a few. Hey! Here's an idea Archimedes invented about 2400 years ago, IT'S CALLED A SCREW !

Yeah, the Bounty should have an actual physical button somewhere to disable the touch screen as needed.
EDIT: One can just unplug it, clean the touch screen, plug it back in, and reset the clock. But that's not really very handy.
