Hello fellow aerogarden addicts I have been following this community for a while and learned a lot of things. I am growing muncher cucumber in Aerogarden bounty elite. It been 37 days and I have a lot of male flowers and 2 female buds. The two female buds did not grow and turned yellow and dried up before becoming flower. photos.app.goo.gl/BEt5teTV3pfRo6fF8Does any know why the buds didn't grow and can anyone confirm if muncher cucumber is a parthenocarpic cucumber?

I did finally find a couple of websites that confirmed munchers are parthenocarpic. From what I've read some parthenocarpic cucumbers will first set male and female flowers that fall off without producing anything before producing only female flowers that set fruit. I've never grown this variety, but it may just need a little time to start making cucumbers.

I've had the best luck with Iznik cucumbers. Very prolific from the start.
I tried an H-19 hybrid last year and it did something similar to what you are describing. It produced male flowers exclusively until it was quite mature. Then all of a sudden it started producing parthenocarpic female flowers. Wasn't very productive though. I only got a few cukes from it.
Good luck with your cucumbers! They are really fun to watch grow.

I know a lot of us grow muncher but I tried them twice and didn’t have any luck. If got a new variety growing now that looks promising but I’ll wait to give more info until I’m happy ( or not! ) with it,

Thank you maskedsonnet and scarfguy for quick answers.
Scrafguy's Iznik cucumber was the motivation that lead me to grow cucumber. I could not find Iznik cucumber that will ship to Canada, so I tried this variety because some web sites say that it is beth alpha/parthenocarpic.
I have another beth alpha cucumber seeds and thinking if i should replace the cucumber. But I will wait for my cucumber!

You might want to try the Mini Munch cucumber from Territorial Seeds. It has performed really well for me, especially when I trimmed the branches off the main vine. It is easy to train to go around and around a trellis on a Bounty, and is very long-lived. territorialseed.com/products/cucumber-mini-munch

I know this is an older thread but how many mini munch per bounty elite would (or did) you guys grow? I just started 2 in mine, and the leaves are getting so huge lol, I'm questioning if I should just have 1 plant in the garden.

One mini munch cucumber is about all that a Bounty will hold if you are training the vine to go around and around on a Bounty trellis. Easiest for me. A Farm 12XL will hold two mini cucumber plants, but you will have to work at managing the vines up and around on some sort of trellis. Soft wire wrapped around the supports will work. The roots aren't particularly expansive, so either a Bounty or a Farm can hold the roots for two plants (and a Farm probably can hold the roots for at least one more). The challenge is managing the vines. You may want to remove all side branches to help with this.
