I finally remembered to take photos of the trellis. I have the clamp-style ones, the magnetic ones that came with my very first farm actually broke when I tried to place them so they got thrown away and forgotten about lol. These work really well!

Those look like the ones they sent me when I ordered an extra trellis during the big sale. The original ones are the ones I have on my farm now. Any little pull on the magnet causes them to fly off. I wish I had known there was a new and improved version. I would have ordered more than 1. I can’t find them on Amazon either. Thanks for posting. |

swimmom500 -- you might go to Lowe's or Home Depot and find some actual bungie cords that will work. They will just need a clip that's large enough to fit on the Farm posts.

Before I had these I would just tie twine to the posts to make a trellis, and it worked well too. These are just easier to reuse since I don't have to cut them off when I'm done like I did with the twine. Here is an example of the twine holding up a cucumber:

The twine looks easy enough. And disassembly only requires a pair of scissors. What is that you are rooting on the right side of the farm- plumeria? |

Pepper plants of some kind - 4 pepper plants in one side were too many, and they weren't really doing well, so I cut up all but one of them (the healthiest of the 4). The bases of the pepper plants had gotten big enough that it was really difficult to get them out without damaging the 1 I wanted to leave, so I just left them there until it was time to end the garden.

Good news!! My parents have agreed to temporary custody of my plants, so I don't have to end my projects after all!! Just won't be able to update on their progress much once they've been moved to their house. Moving should be interesting, planning to just drain most (but not all) of the water for the drive (2 hours) and cross our fingers that it doesn't kill them lol. I asked them because I got to thinking about being gone for a month+ with no one to water all the house plants, and threw the hydro projects in to see if they were interested in trying them out along with my potted plants. And they agreed!! 
Going to make it clear again when we do the move that if it becomes too much to just unplug them and I'll take care of cleaning them out when I can. They're already going to be caring for my dogs and house plants for a month or two, I don't want to overload them with hydro projects on top of that. I bet they'll enjoy the peppers and tomatoes if they keep them going though!

Sounds like an excellent solution! I'd bet the plants can manage with low water just fine for the drive, but fingers crossed for you! FWIW, when I got overwhelmed, I just unplugged. I thought cleaning out would be a horror, but it wasn't as terrible as I imagined. Hopefully your parents will enjoy plant sitting though. |

The plants have successfully been transferred to my parents house, and seem to be doing well!! Now I'm doing dishes and laundry while I wait for FedEx to deliver my new work phone. Once that happens I'm off to Carlsbad for a week to start training! Things are about to start moving around here!
I let my house get a little too cold for a couple days, which made the pot-a-peno kinda sad. But they have lots of flowers and several peppers happening!
Hot Banana also looking good and has peppers:
La Bomba is still growing well
And so is the pixie tomato!
And here are (some of) my beloved house plants/garage-for-the-winter plants, along with a couple of the pepper plants my dad grows on his patio
It took us allllllll day to get these loaded up, drive to their place, and unload/set them all back up. But we managed it!  |
