Ok... I just went absolutely bonkers with my 60% off coupon (it's only good once). Because I just ordered a bunch of crap last night with only the 30% off and asked them if they could apply it to that order - they said yes, or I could use it for another order. . . . . I like my Harvest XL's. And for about $56 a piece, I couldn't help but buy a few. Three, ok?! Shhh... Don't tell anyone.Do I need these? No, but I figure at $56 they are comparable to the knock-off's on Amazon... and also for parts. And who doesn't need to grow six types of lettuce at a time.... am I wrong?! Oh, and I bought a Bounty. I have zero room for all these, but I'll figure that out later. And FYI, the nutrients have no expiration date (I asked them twice). So I bought a half dozen liters (to add to the five I already have/ordered). And grow sponges (hundreds? I lost count), and a few baskets, because they are still cheaper than the ones on Amazon. Ooooh, and a watering jug. Why? 60% off -- I'm a sucker for a coupon. Oh boy.... this will be a conversation at dinner tonight won't it?

Every one here understands the need to grow six types of lettuce at one time!

I was very disappointed to hear that AeroGarden is closing down. Guess they can't find a buyer or anything? Sad times! Just starting up a couple of new gardens. Things have been complicated lately.

Oh boy do I sympathize with "complicated". AG's aside for a second, a friendly suggestion: if you're old enough, and you get vaccines... get the shingles vaccine(s). Trust me. S$&t can go so wrong if you get shingles, you have no idea unless you've been there. Anyhoo..... My husband said the same thing about selling the company. He's a software nerd/engineer/principal/God (I don't know his title).. and he 'knows' a lot of people in tech. He said he'd look around and see if he can find anything about them selling to another company, such as the original owners/developers, etc. Not sure what he can find, but it's worth a try.

Here's another possibility...
My belief has always been that AGs are made in China by another company exclusively for AG. I suspect that the Chinese company is contractually obligated not to market the same machine competitively. When AG disappears, the company that makes these things may be free to market them directly under another name.
FOR EXAMPLE: I have purchased a bunch of these LED panels from Amazon:
I've looked them over very carefully and they are IDENTICAL to the AG 45W LED Panel just with a different name. I suspect at sometime in the past, AG didn't obtain (or lost) the exclusive rights to this product.
Perhaps, the AG gardens wil go the same way and we'll be able to get the same thing under a different brand.

S$&t can go so wrong if you get shingles, you have no idea unless you've been there. If you have had chicken pox -- and we've all had chicken pox because if one kid got it, our mothers got us all together for a chicken pox party so all the kids in the neighborhood would 'get it over with' at once -- if you've had chicken pox, you will get shingles at some point if you don't get the shingles vaccine. The only question will be how bad will it be, which translates to '(1) How much will it hurt; (2) Will I go blind: and (3) Can I die?' (Answers -- (1) lots; (2) maybe; and (3) yes.) And that is something you do not want to gamble on. Shingles is also something that can re-occur, so even if you've had it . . . See where I'm going? This has been a Public Service Message from Chez Clovis.

When I was in my 20's, which wasn't too bad. But this time... I don't have words to describe it. And I had complications too gnarly to post here. Still having pain. [kicking myself for not getting the dang vaccine when I should have]

Good point! Thanks for the link. When I was making my purchase I was going to buy one of those, but they are sold out.

I hope everyone gets their stuff from Aerogarden. I just got an email (and a refund) because they oversold some things I had purchased (pumps, etc.) I imagine there is quite the flurry of activity on their website today.

It didn't even occur to me when I first saw the news that everything would sell out so fast. The first thing that popped into my head was "Pumps!" - apparently, it did for everyone as well as I was only able to get one for my Sprout. I'm sure I'll get an email too. I was surprised they didn't have quantity limits. They may change it after my order for nutrients and seed sponges.

Which they will be totally unable to handle because the lack of competent customer service is a big reason why they are heading down the crapper. When I can get just about anything from Amazon in two days and it takes AG longer than that to even get my order picked up by the shipper, there's a problem. I stocked up on Aerogarden stuff, but I didn't order a thing from Aerogarden. I got 4 Bounties from woot, all of which are safely here, and I ordered a couple of pumps and some grow-anything seed pod kits from Amazon, which will be here tomorrow.

This has been a Public Service Message from Chez Clovis. Husband got Shingles, and it was no fun, as you say! I've had the Shingrix shots (it takes two). The second one was worse than the early COVID shots, but I'd do it over again regardless. The second one wasn't that terrible, but I wish I'd known about the issue in advance, so that I could've planned to be under the weather the day after. Yesterday I got the latest COVID shot, a high-dose flu shot, and an RSV shot. Boy did I have muscle aches this morning! All is back to normal this afternoon.

Thanks for the info. I have just a couple questions. First, how do you use that connector with the Ultra Led unit? It has 2 fixed cords on the base. One connects to the light and the other plugs into the wall. Where to you put this gadget to make it work? Second. I have a jump start unit and pitched the light that used the fluorescent bulbs and kept the base. I tried to use this with the Ultra. I removed the light hood from the Ultra. Then I connected the Aerogarden 45 watt unit to the jump start stand instead of using the little legs it comes with. I raised it all the way up but it still hung down so low it was like having it at the lowest setting the original light came to but no way to raise it higher. So how do you extend the jump start unit so you can use it with an Aerogarden? Thanks so much for all your help.

I checked my email and so far I have no cancellation on either order! 🤞 which items were cancelled?

I got the 60% off coupon, too. I bought 4 more jugs of nutes and a box of seed pods.
I never even received an email
