pfunnyjoy I will be using my AG's for along time to come. I would/will switch when the electronics die. I have other hydroponic tabletop and bucket style but, I haven't seen one with customizing features you can do right at the garden. They do have ones with apps via wi-fi but, I want to just walk over and change it on the garden. I never was much for the app anyway. This is a long way off for me who knows I might not be capable of cleaning them out in another 10 or 15 years. Or for that matter care what I eat. I watched the Aerogarden experiments guy on you-tube, he said the only thing he will really miss is the nutes. I don't agree with that and until they come out with something just as good I'll still stick to AG's are the best tabletop model out there. I am pretty sure we will see most of our orders within the next few weeks I am not worried either.

I'm with you, I will miss a lot of the Aerogarden features. I really like the day count on the Elite models, for instance!
I just put a Harvest Elite and Microgreens kit in my Amazon cart. I haven't decided yet, but it's a very easy way to grow microgreens, though perhaps not as efficient as a tray.
With two, I could stagger plantings though, and as the plantings don't seem fussed by the nearby living room air purifier, I'd get that extra light all winter in the area, which is REALLY nice.
Hubby is not terribly keen on me buying more units though.
On the other hand, I know that too many gardens get me overwhelmed, so there's that. Though microgreens is very minimal fuss.

I love that man; he always supports my hobbies. Even after 35+ years. Of course, it goes both ways.... which is why he has 16 guitars (that I couldn't object to). But I did give him his own man cave, above our detached garage. There are still Sprouts available for $39......

If you said "I should stock up," and he said "Sounds reasonable," then he is already eyeing that sunburst Les Paul.

I fell asleep with my Harvest and Microgreens kit in my cart ... and didn't order. So, now the Microgreens kit is on sale, and I'm still debating whether I truly want another Aerogarden for microgreens.
I'm also looking at a precision pipette, because it's so hard for me to tell exactly with the syringes when I need LESS than 1ml of pH Down, like the other day when I wanted to add some direct to a garden and I thought .5ml would be a good place to start.
I think I'll pass on the AG stuff for now, and get me the precision pipette and maybe a pH meter. I can get something, because my wedding anniversary is coming up soon, and who knows, maybe there will be another sale for Black Friday if AG still has stock left.
I have a quart of Ionic Grow coming to see if that's easier for me than mixing up Maxigro, and if I go to liquid nutes, I'll need to be adjusting pH in the gardens directly, so better accuracy measuring the pH Down would be good! And a pH pen would be so convenient compared to the drops!

I was going to buy a pH meter but I was reading about how you have to calibrate them, etc., etc. I won't be using it much, so I didn't want to buy yet another gadget. I had some old pH paper I used for work and used it to check the water now that I'm using the MaxiGrow for my greens. Works great and no calibration required. I bought these about ten years ago, but this is the one I'm using. I'm sure there are cheaper brands. pH paper

This brand may work better, but at $19 per/100 tests, that's going to add up if testing multiple gardens a couple times a week! I think I'd rather deal with calibrating a meter than use the GH pH drops, but I'm definitely not sure, having never used a pH meter before. My gardens can drift up from pH 6.0/6.5 to pH 8.5 within 3 days. I had exactly that happen with the new Tatsoi garden I planted. I think some of my problem grows have been because pH drifts up quicker than I get around to testing for it. My feeling is that I won't ever know which way is easiest until I actually try a pH meter out. Off to read a bunch of reviews, LOL!

I personally own a large number of all AeroGarden models. And I monitor eBay and other platforms to buy units for parts. It is possible to buy new replacement pumps and filters on eBay and Amazon. I do not purchase AeroGarden’s seed kits because I believe they’re overpriced for what you receive. I do have a large supply of AeroGarden grow sponges and I’m looking for a suitable one-to-one replacement. I have purchased seeds from multiple sources. There are many great seed recommendations within this site that I have been purchasing. I also have been saving my own seeds. There is also a great deal of advice and recommendations put on Plant nutrients within this site. my longer-term plan is to Use my gardens until they wear out And keep my eyes open for potential replacements.

We have a few threads here on the sponges/pods. Here is 1 to look at. I have a box of the park seed ones I haven't used yet but, I will be when I run out of the AG ones. aerogardenaddicts.com/thread/4407/third-party-pod-supplies

I've used Park Seed sponges in my Aerogardens since 2008. I love them! I stocked up back then, and at the time, they shipped them moist, in bags. I don't know if that's still the case. I put mine on cookie sheets, turning as necessary, until thoroughly dry, and here I am, using them in 2024. I do live in a dry climate, so drying them for long term storage was easy.
I used the 2008 stock for my Parris Island Cos planting, and had germination in 1 day!
Oops, senior citizen moment, no, I didn't, I remember, I used AG sponges for the lettuce, then regretted it as I seeded them because the holes were so deep. so far, so good though.
Anyway, the Park Seed variant that fits the AG grow baskets are the 60-cell planting block version. They look slightly squared off, but fit great. I always moisten first, before planting.

YUP! I concur. It's a good light but it does throw off a lot of heat.
I've got 3 of the 100W lights (older model) and 2 of the 250W version.

I spotted this on Amazon just the other day: LetPot 60W Plant Grow LightUse hanging or with included stand. I have no idea of the quality, but it looks interesting to me, since I'd have a heck of a time trying to hang a light, given I don't do so good on ladders these day. I'd probably be willing to give one a try if I needed to.
