I know we have a thread for basil but why not one for tomatoes? (Should h ave one for peppers too at some point)..
Anyway.... If you have tried, grown and tasted tomatoes no matter if they were a dud or wonderful, why not add YOUR assessment here. Yes we have a recommendation thread for those that we really like but not something that gives others an idea of what we all think.
If you wish to do so, please place the following: Name of Tomato, Vendor, taste, flesh thickness, seeds etc. When I say taste, was it sweet? Bland? Fruity, grassy, etc.
I will then make a master list to place here (as well as all your assessments in the posts will be left)

Name: Red Heirloom Cherry Tomato Vendor: AeroGrow/AeroGarden (Kit) Taste: Sweet, Slightly Tart, Average Acidity, Big Tomato Taste In A Compact Size Skin: Thin, With Nice A Pop Seeds: Average Yield: Very Prolific, High Yield Plant: Healthy, Fast Growing, Minimal Trimming Feeding: I Used AeroGarden Nutrients & General Hydroponics CALiMAGic In Recommended Values, But Increased During High Production To Reach Recommended PPM Tomato Levels Cons: None
Notes: Fast & Easy Grower. Healthy, Compact Plants, But Recommend Large/Tall Garden. Semi-Inconsistent Fruit Size. A Few Ripened At Immature Size, But Did Not Affect Taste or Quality. Already Starting To Set New Blooms At End Of First Crop. I'd Absolutely Recommend This Variety For Beginner To Advanced. Lovely, Tasty Tomatoes.
These are great for snacking, oven roasting, in egg dishes, casseroles, and salads. Amazing in quiche and in my oven roasted veggie mix. My husband likes them so much that rather than buy a slicing tomato for burgers and sandwiches, he slices these in half or thirds and uses them. I'm a huge fan of tomato & mayo sandwiches. These are wonderful for that. I will definitely keep this variety in rotation.

I’ve only ever grown the AG tomatoes. I like the red heirloom for the reasons Kate said, but I really like the golden (yellow) AG tomatoes. They’re much like the red in terms of how they grow and plant size, but the flavor is milder without being bland. Perhaps it’s a tad less acidic, I’m not sure.

I grew the Red and Golden AG tomatoes. They both grew amazing but the red more so than the golden. The Golden never got the height or the thick lush bushiness that the red did. They didn't produce as much either. They produced a lot but not as much.
Personally I won't grow the Golden again. I didn't like the flavor. I felt mine were bland. Maybe my tastebuds are bad. The red however were delicious. I would pick them while the shoulders had a just a little bit of green on them and they were crispy and delicious.
Kate's great post is right on the money. The Reds are a prolific do all tomato.
