I was going through my unopened 2018 Pepper Seeds. I need to determine which to grow for the next year. My objective for this Fall is Hot Sauce. Specifically, I will make a wonderfully fermented Jalapeno Sauce, a tangy Habanero Lime Sauce and a blistering Garlic Ghost Pepper Sauce. I will freeze the ripe peppers until I have the entire crop.
The jalapeno sauce will be a blend of Biker Billy, Jalafuego, Jalapeno M and Early Jalapenos. I currently have 3 open Bounties and 3 open Ultras. 2 of the Bounties are reserved for the extra two Ghost Pepper and the extra two Habanero plants on the Farm Plus. The remaining four gardens will have two Jalafuego plants, two Jalapeno M plants and four Early Jalapeno plants. (subject to change)

Sad. I have a berjillion packets of seeds here, yet don't share that many with your list.
Might I suggest trying Aji Chombo if you haven't before? I like the flavor.
I have a Brazilian Moruga plat that literally reaches the ceiling and has no yellow anywhere on it, yet it hasn't set any fruit in over a half a year. I'm thinking of tearing it down and replanting something that I'll have better luck with.
If you have any ideas for some kind of hot pepper GAL, let me know.

Shawn, we could just call it a Jalapeno GAL, then any variety of jalapeno would do.

I currently have 3 open Bounties and 3 open Ultras. Out of curiosity, other than the 6 currently unused machines, how many are actually in use at this time? |

I have one Bounty growing Biker Billy Jalapenos at 91 days. I also have the Farm growing Ghost Peppers and Habaneros. I planted those a week ago. Time to get back in the swing of things.

All in all, I've bought more than 30 AG's since 2012. But I only bought used units from Ebay until January of 2015. I think that was when I started buying Ultras and Extras, only when they they were half priced. But Sam's Club and Costco had some great sales back in the day. I've been giving away all the CFL gardens. I won't use anything that isn't LED anymore.
I've already posted a message to AG's Facebook page asking when more Farm Plus's will be available.

I only had two of the Classic 7 Models until I found Corinne's original forum in 2014. I was only growing herbs at that point.
I found out about the Extended Arm kit for the Classic 7, but AG was no longer selling them. But I found a guy on Ebay that was selling some. He was a member of Corinne's forum, and he informed me of it. The rest is history.

Mike, I know you and drbanks would like to do a GAL for jalapenos. I would love to join you although I would be a week or two lat in starting as I need help moving things around and with Mark working and me being home alone (in a few days) now I will be late.
Even if it is just the two of you GO FOR IT! Go for the GAL! Start a thread if you want... and I would be more then happy to join in later if that is ok!

I'll wait two weeks. I didn't get anything done this weekend. Five consecutive days in the 90°s, three at over 95°. In May in Michigan. And it's humid, too. Jeez!

Ugh, Mike, that sounds awful! And it’s so strange how weather can be so upside down in all our regions: here in Southern California we’re always battling the warmth, even in January at times, and yet we’ve had such tranquil June Gloom lately (ahead of June!!). Anyway I too would like to join a jalapeño GAL in a few weeks.  I don’t think I have jalapeño seeds though so I’d need just a little time to order them. |
