After less than a week I found these and the Early Jalapenos had grown completely through the paper towel. The Early Jalapenos were a total loss. I thought these were too. But I gave a couple of them a chance in a sponge and they may just make it. I added a couple extra pods with new seeds, just in case.

Oh no! Wow, that really was fast. Being pepper seeds I would not have thought the need to check them before a week was up.

More great looking peppers. Are you going to leave all three in there?

These are smaller fully grown plants, then?

No, I meant to they stay smaller? I couldn't fit three of the pepper plants I have in my Bounty.

They are standard 18-22" jalapenos. I wouldn't normally grow more than two. I am trying with jalapenos to see If I can get better pepper production with 3 plants and pruning.

Well, you have the expertise to do it. I'm far too worried about the screaming I imagine I hear. "Although not audible to the human ear, the secret voices of plants have revealed that cucumbers scream when they are sick, and flowers whine when their leaves are cut [source: Deutsche Welle]. ... As they grow, plants can alter their trajectories to avoid obstacles or reach for support with their tendrils."

I’m looking forward to your instruction on your pruning. I’ve never pruned a pepper plant (beyond an initial topping).
