Hi all. I am completely new to Aerogardening - bought my Aerogarden Bounty Elite on Prime Day because I have been looking at getting something like this for a while. Prime day was the push I needed. Initially, back in spring I decided to start a small raised bed in my yard outside to grow a few herbs. It did especially well and is still going strong. Since I live in the NE, winter will pretty much decimate any garden I start. The Aerogarden seems like a great way of keeping things going since I am really enjoying gardening. For a little background, I used to keep reef tanks as a hobby - it got to the point where I kept multiple tanks throughout the house and had all sorts of plumbing going on. With reefing, I kept everything from fish to inverts and corals. Coral was my main focus though, which is why I feel like I am gravitating toward the Aerogarden in general. The two hobbies aren't that far removed from each other. Since I got out of reefing a few months ago there's been a bit of a void and I feel like I just got into the right hobby that is just as interesting. So far, my Aerogarden has been running since Saturday 7/21 and I am already astounded at the growth on my little plants. Anyway here are my photos so far

spideybry, your garden is looking good. Chives, parsley and Dill take a while to germinate.
It looks like a happy garden! I looked up Reef Gardens and they are beautiful but can imagine how much work they can be.
Welcome again

Thanks, it is definitely making some quick progress. Today I was able to finally take off a few of the grow domes and let the babies breathe lol. It does look like one of my basil plants leaves is singed around the edges, is this relatively normal? Also, here is my outdoor patch 😊

Those leaves that are browned most likely were touching the domes. That should grow out.
Nice Outdoor Garden. I can't do them, the deer and bunnies would eat them all up.

I have been lurking for a while but decided to post. I was given a machine with some herbs in it but just recently took it out of the box. I have those herbs starting. I have been reading and reading this discussion board and thought hey why not give it a try. Here is hoping they all spring up through those brown cones in those plastic things. Hey Bill! I am glad you took the plunge and posted. Please keep us updated on your project. Have they all germinated by now,and what machine are you using?

Hi Bill - somehow I missed your post when I last posted right after you. Sometimes that happens when the page breaks. How are your herbs coming along? Have they all sprouted yet?

Hi. I have a harvest. I planted basil and thyme and parsley. I do not like dill. They are growing. I had some white on one of the brown things. I found it somewhere on here and it helped me cure it. Now I am waiting for the thyme to grow.

Yes, Thyme can take Time to germinate. However when it starts it keeps giving.

Wishing you good growing. Mine comes next Thursday. I am mostly planning on growing herbs and lettuce for my two English Budgies. I live in a small senior apartment so there is only room for one AG. The Harvest with WiFi is on its way!!

New forum member, getting back into Aerogardening.
I had Space Saver 6 over five years ago, and sold it as getting replacement bulbs shipped etc. seemed to not really be worth the yields I was getting. Some plants sure thrived however.
I had forgotten about Aerogardens completely and by chance ran into someone selling a Bounty. When I saw that it was now with LED lights I had to give it a try. I'm even trying a tomato plant, which I would not have attempted in the Space Saver 6. Its surrounded by herbs so that might not be the best idea, but I couldn't wait to try.
Its day 9, everything has sprouted except a dill pod. Looking good!
I added a separate water pump since I had it kicking around. I don't know if that will make any difference.

Welcome delgar, Nice to see you are Aerogardening again and that you found us. There is a ton of information on the forum that I hope helps you and if not please ask.
Bountys are nice. I have not had to add a second pump to mine and I am always growing pepper plants in mine. I think dill cal take a long time to germinate but then again I have yet to grow it.
Hope to see you post some more

Hey all! Managed to find this pic on my phone and figured I'd post it before my trip This is a picture from earlier this week. (: I'm really enjoying the Aerogarden and am having trouble not planning what to grow next, but that's still month's away. I decided to regrow some scallions from the store near the light and they're also doing well, but they do well even on the window sill.

Hi all. I'm not growing yet, but hope to be soon! My first AeroGarden (a Farm Plus) is on the way. It should arrive sometime in the next week or two. I'm a renter and though there are some small planter spaces in our back yard, tree growth has taken off in the last few years preventing most things from getting enough sun to grow in those plots. I've got some indoor space along one wall that seemed to be begging for a wall of Farm units, so that's what I'm going to try to pull off. If I feel good after getting this first model I'd eventually like to go three-wide and two-high with Plus models on the bottom and standard Farm units on top. Unless that new Farm Tall unit on Amazon is a real thing. (See my other thread here.) In that case I'd probably go with a single tall unit on one end. This first unit is going to be dedicated to a "Great Greens" seed kit. I may do the same with a second. We eat a lot of salads. By the time I get the other units in it should be time to start new grows, so I'm sure the greens will move to the smaller Farm units and then it'll be tomato and pepper time. We'll see how successful I am at pulling off this grand plan. I'm very excited to get started, though. I've been looking at AeroGardens and potential hydro projects for well over a year now. It's time to finally put it into action.

Once you get a taste of loose leaf lettuce (4 weeks and ready to harvest) you will be eager to plant toms and peppers to go with it. I am excited for you!
Just imagine...an empty room with outlets on each wall and Aerogardens on tables lining the walls! An AG-ers' perfect wish!
