Hypothetical question for the group:
Let's pretend that after buying my Farm I started to feel a deep-set addiction to AeroGardening and wanted to purchase a Sprout model for my cubicle at work. If that were true, what would you say is the ideal thing to grow in the Sprout?
Hypothetically.

AeroGardens are like chips, you can never own just one.
If it were at home, I'd say herbs, definitely. It's perfect for herbs. I love mine. Even at the office, it would be cool. Maybe a small tomato or pepper plant. You could always do flowers!

Yes, herbs, flowers. You can plant ONE pod not the LoveBlooms and they will fill out the machine.
A Sprout has the footprint of a sheet of paper folded lengthwise. A Harvest us the footprint of a sheet of paper.

1.Herbs..but you wouldn;t want herbs at work I suppose. 2. But FLOWERS! Particularly the dwarf mini petunias and petite lemon drop marigolds . Here is the Love Blooms Kit I grew! and it was only 1 pod from the kit!

Gorgeous! That might happen... hypothetically. A part of me wants to try a tiny cherry tom plant. Having something to share with my coworkers would be nice. I just wasn't sure if a Sprout was up to that task. Looking at those flowers every day sure would make me happy though.

One of our members grew some tomatoes in a Sprout, view the thread here.
I may have a pod of the Love Blooms, if you get a Sprout and want to grow these, PM me and I will see what I have.

My hypothetical has moved into reality as I was able to snag a Sprout LED for a decent price on eBay. I'll clean it thoroughly when it arrives and then it's going to work with me to bring some life to my office.

Wonderful! What will you plant? If you want some Love Blooms I do have some pods I can send your way. Just PM me if that is what you choose to grow.

The Sweet Heat peppers would seem to grow nicely, as it is such a small plant (not that I’ve tried yet). You would just have to be very mindful of watering during fruiting with the very small water reservoir. I’ve also grown the Love Blooms, inspired by Corinne’s garden. And they’re right, one pod will eventually fill the entire garden! They take a really long time to get to the bloom stage, but they really are beautiful and cheerful. My vote, I’d do the peppers since you’d like to share with your co-workers.

However, I think the Sweet Heat could be very popular with my coworkers. It'd be fascinating to see it grow in a Sprout.

I've got the mini petunias now in my sprout, too. Excited to see how they do. They look so pretty in Corinne's post.
All three have green now but have not come up above the labels.
Very slow going, for me at least.
I might move the sprout to my workplace for its next project. Not sure yet.

As they get longer far into the project you can pinch them back and they will go on FOREVER..

Maybe I’ll jump in and grow a Love Bloom pod as well, now that I don’t need both Sprouts as seed starters. I accidentally ordered the Love Blooms twice so have a lot of pods. If anyone else wants one (or more) let me know.

I still can't believe she did that. When I bring it up she laughs at me and say "Oh So What". I tell her to pay me for it, and she laughs harder. I will NEVER give her anything of mine again unless I plan to throw it out.

Yes she did. I gave it to her because she wanted to grow mint and something else. That was last July after my 2nd surgery. I had asked her if she uses it not too long ago and she asked me what I was talking about. After I explained it, she told me she was not going to use it and threw it away. I even bought seeds for her and gave her baskets and sponges.
