Any idea what is causing this on just about everything I plant. I use distilled water, ag nutrients at recommended doses, I have a fan blowing air across the garden. Ph and water temp are good. The only thing I seem able to grow without any problem is lettuce and bok choy.

It looks like you may be giving them too much of a nutrient dose. How much and how often do you feed andhow do you add your nutrients.

virtualmccoy, (I love that name!) I think that Corinne might be right. Sometimes I think that the dosages recommended by AG are too high, and I use less than they recommend.
You might want to dump the contents of your bowl, add fresh water, then half the normal amount of nutes. Then you can gradually add more over the next few days if needed.

I can try that but how will I know if it's necessary to add more nutes?

I had this issue. Even though I followed the instructions, too, my Basil got mute burn. I clipped the browned leaves, rinsed, refilled and added half the Nutes and the plants are doing well now.
Im actually trying something new now. I just did another r&r and instead of adding three capfuls every two weeks I’m going to add one and a half every week. (So half the recommended every week)

It won't hurt for them to "rest" with half-strength for a few days. Then you can gradually add more and see how it goes. I'll bet that they will do just fine. Good luck!

I can't speak to many issues about the Farms because I have never owned one. But if it were in my Bounty, I would fill with fresh plain water and let it run on that for 2 days and then add half the strength of the nutes until the next feeding time. FWIW.. But....take the advice of a Farm owner, please.

I wish I were able to help you but as I have said so many times (and still have yet to try then again) tried once and killed it as a baby. With that said I have no clue on the leaves.
Please be patient until someone who may know replies.

I...really don’t know. But image googling nute burn did give similar results. But again, I’m not sure. Maybe call or email AG to get their opinions? On another note in that first picture are the leaves in that plant on bottom touching the dome? You want to remove domes before leaves touch the dome. I could be wrong but from the angle of the photo that’s how it looks. I zoomed in on your photo. I’m referring to this plant:

Yes that could definitely be nutrient burn. I’m no expert but it could be that, and perhaps also the plants don’t like your municipal water. Every city is different with mineral and salt content. I don’t know. I don’t want you to lose your plants either!! Maybe change the water, and don’t put nutes in for a couple days. Give them a cleanse and a break.

You are adding the nutrients directly to the roots! You need to empty the tank , mix the nutes with water in a jug THEN fill the AG with that pre mixed solution.

So I should empty tank every 2 weeks? That's an awful lot of distilled water

Why not use tap water? Is your water that bad? The AG nutrients do a good job adjusting in most tap waters. Mine is very hard water, but the nutrients do a good job.
Mature plants drink fast, so with them the tank would be very low on water and you wouldn;t have to dump.
But if you have young plants in the machine you will end up overfeeding them if you just keep adding nutrients because the water doesn't get that low..
From what you said, i KNOW that is the cause of your problem..you are overfeeding the plants by 1)adding nutes directly to the tank 2)continuously adding nutrient water to seedlings w/o dumping the old
I doubt if those plants will come back healthy.JMO from the photos. The burn is severe. Why not start new projects and even though it may cost you more, just follow the AG directions for your machines/ It will pay off in the end , and you will not be frustrated!

1)adding nutes directly to the tank
Just for clarification: Isn't this what AG instructions say to do?

1)adding nutes directly to the tank
Just for clarification: Isn't this what AG instructions say to do? I fill my tank, add Nutes to the tank, immediately run/test the pump. I’ve had no issues (except that one time but we remedied that). Yes, the instructions say add Nutes to the tank via the fill port. I can see an argument made for either method depending on the plant and unit. Curious if one is better over the other.
