This may have nothing to do with it, but I thought I’d bring it up in case it could have impacted your ppm. What initially tripped me up about the GH nutes was that their feeding schedule is weekly, and AG is every 2 weeks. So their weekly chart confused me before I realized that they were a different schedule. Then when drbanks said she just stuck to the 2 week AG schedule while using the GH nutes, that’s what I did. GH nutes but not on GH schedule. FWIW.  |

Yeah. I think they might have also had an instruction buried somewhere that said to toss the water every week when you feed. But I can’t be sure.

These are well past recovery now. They’re developing new leaves rapidly.   They’re due for an R&R/feeding in one week. When that happens I’ll probably “FIM” them as shown in the YouTube video I posted not long ago. |

After my last post I did prune these plants using the “FIM” method as detailed in the YouTube video I posted in the peppers forum. However, I decided to leave biggest leaves at the bottom since they weren’t blocking light from reaching any of the smaller leaves. So far that’s been fine. They’re already starting to bush out around the main stalk.   These got an R&R yesterday and were fed with GH Flora nutes in a 2:2:2 ratio (10ml each). TDS level in the tank after feeding was 792ppm. |

I’m surprised you pruned them. Sweet Heats on get about 12” tall.

Still on board the FIM train, so these probably look a bit odd to those who don’t do any of that sort of thing. They look exactly how I’d expect them to at this point and are starting a lot of side shoots. These are on Day 44.   |

I found that FIM video you posted fascinating. I need to revisit it because I’d like to incorporate that method too.

Another week has passed and after the second big pruning for FIM’ing I think I’m going to let these plants go from here. I’m sure I’ll still prune, but not in an effort to make them more bushy. Just general maintenance. R&R for these today. Fed with GH Flora nutes in a 2:2:2 ratio. You can see flowers have started to appear. I’m letting them happen for now.    |

These guys are looking pretty good. Unfortunately I found a few leaves with spots like the Mini Jalapeño I showed in the other post. These were not NEARLY as bad as that plant, but I chopped off any leaves with even a single spot just to be safe. I don’t want to take chances with these plants because I’m looking forward to them the most.   I also have my first pepper growing!  |
