After waiting a bit too long to harvest those first two peppers I don’t intend to make that mistake twice. I’ve i another that’s ready for harvest and many more on the way. The Admiral is still going strong.

I thought you all might like another update on The Admiral. I’ve harvested 8 peppers so far. There are currently another 10 growing on the plant. Obviously there are some branches that could use a little support so today I tried to utilize the magnetic trellis system to help with that. The front and back (long) pieces attach fine, but they’re too tight to attached the short pieces that clip on across. Every time I try to stretch one to clip it on it pulls the magnets off. Guess I’ll have to ask AG support about that. I’ll pull a few more peppers from this plant and then I think I’d like to move on to something else.

Looks good. Do you have anything else you can use to hold the branches up I use the plant velcro tape and binder clips.

The Admiral has finished its voyage. I took it down over the weekend to allow space for new projects. I’m just ready to move on to new things. Here’s a final shot of this handsome plant just before I murdered it. I never could get over just how thick the main stem had grown in the AeroGarden. And this was the final harvest before I chopped it. I had no idea there were this many peppers growing on that plant. I really hadn’t inspected it closely in a while. I sliced and froze a lot of these. The rest are getting a quick ferment in a strong brine.
