I have two 26 day old AG cucumbers in my Bounty. They have multiple tiny cucumbers all the way to the tip of the plant. This morning I trimmed off the two largest/oldest leaves on the bottom as the AG Experiments guy does in his videos. I found a couple of baby cucumbers with flowers about to open.
I know the AG Experiments guy 'pinches' off the ends of the cucumber vines so the plant focuses on ripening the cucumbers, rather than growing longer. But in his videos, the plants are so much bigger than mine; he does it when they are long, but I inferred that he may also do it when they are young. He always has multiple branches on his plants, but I only have one on each.
My confusion is, at what point do I decide to decapitate (decucumberate?) the plant? How long/tall do I let it get first?
