If you have a rich relative who wants to give you something nice that you don't really need, you might want to ask for a truncheon.
When my gardens don't look right, I like to test the TDS/EC of the nute concentration and the smaller meter I have is hard for my tired eyes to see.
I really enjoy using this when I need to check nute concentrations.

It would be a little pricey, but my cucumbers, in particular, eat a lot and the ph gets unstable. It would be nice to know at a glance when I need to feed them or add some ph up.
