Now that the medical procedures are out of the way, I have 9 more days until I have 11 consecutive days off of work. Thank God.
After Christmas I will restart the Farm. It will be all hot peppers. Now I don't know what I want to grow.
I've purchased a camera to photo these plants. For some reason, my cell phone camera gives me darker bands on my AG photos. I'm sure it has to do with the LED light frequency.
Now to choose the seeds.

Wonderful news on both having the medical procedures behind you AND the startup of new plants.
I can not wait to see what you will grow!
WELCOME BACK!

The Farm is ready. I will clean it again just before Christmas.
I wish I had some plants to test my new camera on. I did take a snap of my parents Golden Retriever in front of their Christmas tree this afternoon.

Three more days until 11 days of freedom! I have three more gifts to buy. A bunch of Christmas cards to make on the computer. A lot of wrapping to do, family fun, then a couple days of rest.
Then it is AG time! The seed choice:
Eggplant Patio Baby F1
Maya Pepper Parks Orangesickle Hybrid Zapotec Jalapeno Purple Jalapeno Pumpkin Spice Jalapeno Feher Ozon Paprika Pepper Orange Pepperoncini Pepper
Genovese Basil Dill
Win-Win Pac Choi
I will put back into use the following gardens:
Farm Plus (4) Bounties (3) Ultras
Only the Farm will be planted over Christmas break. The rest will be staggered through February.

I just received the seeds I ordered from Jim Duffy. Zapotec Jalapeno, Feher Ozon Paprika, Purple Jalapeno, Orange Pepperoncini, and NuMex Pumpkin Spice Jalapeno. But Jim included three seeds I didn't order for free. Vezina Piperka is a jalapeno heat level pepper I grew last year. It is long and has more corking than on any other pepper I've grown before. An absolutely delicious pepper.
El Rito has a good medium hot heat level and a smoky sweet flavor. The El Rito chile ripens from green to red and grows to about 4 inches in length. The Elrito chile plants are very productive and grow over 2 feet tall.
Kori Sitakame chile has thin flesh and has a pear like flavor. It ripens from green to red and has smooth skin. They average 3 to 4 inches in length and just under an inch in width. The heat is medium like an average jalapeno heat and is quick to come on. The Kori Sitakame chile plants grow over 4 feet tall and need staking or caging as they will bear much fruit. So these are out for the AG.

Sorry I'm so late coming to this, but I've been at my Fortress of Solitude which, until last week, didn't have internet.
I've seen the banding in cell phone pictures from AG lighting, too. I eventually decided that post-processing pictures to put a gradient neutral density filter on the top of the image (so the top leaves wouldn't be so blown out) that I ultimately went for the lower tech solution of just turning off the AG lighting before taking pictures. If there's enough other ambient light, fine, otherwise I turn the cell phone flash on. Get reasonable results.

Hopefully my Canon EOS 5M won't have a problem. This is a mirrorless camera. Plus, I've invested in a 32mm f/1.4 lens that is so bright, I don't even need a flash. Because of that I ordered a 50mm f/1.2 manual lens that really excites me. I won't receive that until Friday.

I feel for you, Mike. My presence has lately been sporadic because of things like this too and I miss being able to be here. I hope you feel better soon. That's more important than anything else.
