Hi I am new to aerogarden and just found white something on my tomatoes stem. Any idea what is it and if I have to do anything about it?

Hello and welcome. Can you give a little more detail or a picture?

In the past while researching something else I saw this and it is said to be roots growing out side the pod on the bottom of the plant. I can not say for sure if that is it or not however as I have never had this happen to me.
Have you tried scraping that off and see what happens.
Anyone else?

I think I will just ignore it and see what will happen.
Have a lot off green tomatoes can't wait for harvest😁.

I believe (though am no expert) that Shawn is correct. I do know that when planting seedlings outdoors in soil they say to plant it deeper than the soil level of the seedling, as deep as you can, because it will develop more roots along the stalk that you bury, and will be more successful. I’ve had this happen with AG tomato plants that are fairly well along. Since you have lots of fruit I imagine you’re in the same stage I was in.
