I have planned then once and never say an issue. I think @cornne has used them too.
I have had regular nutrients clog my pump. I have it a practice to clean my pump between every planting. If I have a project longer then a few months when doing a dump and refill I will take it apart to give it a rinse.
I know that did not answer your question but may help someone in the future.

I use pelleted seeds all the time(not my fav, though , because they take longer to germinate..) I have had no problem whatsoever with clogging. I even have planted clustered pellets in a 'nest' for Calibrachoas and the clustered pellets dissolve with no clogging at all .

Happy, No it is not bad to do.
Check this thread to see how a pump can look with nute buildup.
If needed I can post a video of how to take it all apart if needed.

It is a bunch of seeds all fused together in a ball made from rice glue or some other kind of soluble substance. These clusters are smaller than your pinky nail and give the right combo of color in each pod. I found them like that over at Parkseed with their Calibracoa seeds.
(perfect project,btw)

that is a true photo and a good one, shaw. The pump can get slimy from the nutrients more than anything else and definitely should be taken apart periodically..especially after a 'rooty' or very long project.
Also(a bigger pain) is taking apart the deck. When I see roots start to peek out of the well loles when the water is flowing, I know the deck plate has a layer of roots laying flat in there. Sometimes I am surprised at the amount. But taking it apart is a royal pain and hurts like all get-out. I find that Mike's picture demo is an excellent tutorial.
