Today I started the Easter Egg Plant. Machine: Harvest (can be moved IF needed) Pods: two Park Sponges Seeds: Park Seed (2 per pod) Nutes: 3ml to start I planted two pods IN CASE one does not come up. I can always transplant or terminate the other if needed. This project reminds me of the Bugs Bunny Cartoon. Here is the cartoon (1min and 24sec long):
@cornne , if you want this to be a GAL I can move my thread, otherwise we can just grow along with each other in our own gardens. Let me know.
More when (or if) something happens.

I am going to grow this in my Gal timeline because my seeds were just ordered. The Gal is custom,'choose your own', so I don;t think it would matter if you have planted now and have it as a Shawn's Garden project rather than a GAL. The Gal planting is a few weeks off yet.

Looking inside the pods, both have life. Not enough that I can get it in a picture but soon.

This is a slow growing seed at least in this stage. I can not get a clear picture as it is still in the pod.

I am gonna heat- cheat!
I stuck 2 seeds in a paper towel to see how long it would take to germinate. These were placed in a tupperware on top of a hood and took well over a week.Today they are just starting to do something. Sooooo....I am going to put my GAL seeds in a paper towel and start them on top of the hood and start the machine mid-week.

I had planted these in the Harvest on the 11th. They did root but I ignored the machine by my own fault. So I planted a pod in the Harvest soon after and it rooted and is growing.
So I HAVE liftoff. I am moving htis pod over to the harvest later today.
I also think that the machine being in the coldest room of the house was not good so that too has been moved.

I am thrilled that my Easter Eggs are on their way .....
One popped up over the label this morning and you can see another one in the pod.

The second seed popped up over the label. I will wait another week and take one out.

These are doing well. I think I may transplant to the Ultra or Extra today. A little better lighting power

I FINALLY moved these over to the Ultra. Hopefully the higher wattage will assist in it growing faster. But these have grown.

I wrote the vendor to make sure I did not have to prune these plants. I also sent a picture. They told me to trim the largest leaves out to give the plant some energy to grow. SO that is what I did. Pictures to follow.

A couple of days ago a removed several large leaves from the plants. They both have had growth since doing so. I may remove a couple more of the really large leaves.

I am pleased with the way these are growing. I can see a difference since removing large leaves. Of course there are more large leaves. What I found that did not see last time is the large leaves get thorns (see second picture). They are pointy but now that bad yet at least.

My plant is trying to harm me LOL... Today I went to turn them both and I was getting pricked by thorns left and right. They are on the leaves and stems
Tomorrow I also need to remove another two HUGE leaves. These are both around 7" x 5" leaves WITH multiple thorns. I wonder if I will get more thorns if I remove them but for my safety those leaves have to go.
