They are growing .... I wonder if these are going to be buds OR if they are new leaves

Hopefully buds! Scary thorns, btw. Reminds me of the thorny eggplant leaves.

Tomorrow I really need to get updated pictures. These are really getting big. Well a lot of large leaves.
Getting many buds too!

Looking very nice! These ones remind me of a small variety I used to grow in my outdoor garden a few years ago, called "Fairytale Eggplant".

The bid should be opening soon. It is much more purple then the picture shows. Then after that you will see all the thorns on the buds. This plant will protect itself at all costs

I have soooooo many thorn sticks and scratches.
There is a full shot photo, a closeup of some buds and blooms and then a reminder of how many thorns are on the buds AND leaves (although I did not include a leaf picture)

I must get in that room today to check on this plant. Nothing has been hand pollinated. While I know there are blooms on it I have no idea what the state of the eggs are if any. I do know the only one I saw prior to my surgery was no longer there
I it is ok.

As expected the one egg I did see dried up. However as you can see there are a ton of blooms as well as a ton of dead ones on the deck. I did remove most but could not stand longer to clean the rest or the deck. Left Side, Right Side and both

Well I am thrilled to report I have a few Easter Eggs. Although still white. Can you spot two? Following is a closeup.

I have many eggs and I thin one is starting to change colors. Tomorrow when I feed I will get a better look and some pictures. While the eggs are healthy, some of the leaves are yellowing.

I terminated this garden as I was not able to care for it like I had wanted. Next year I will start these in late November or early December.
