I posted about this in another thread but it should be here as well.
MiracleGro as you know is the name behind AeroGarden, however they really do not cross. MiracleGro is coming out with their own Hydro System for Greens and Herbs.
Due this Spring :
MiracleGro is coming out with their own Hydro System call the Twelve which is not out in stores yet. It leans towards Leafy greens: leaf lettuce, kale, swiss chard, arugula, mustard greens, and more. Herbs: basil, mint, thyme, cilantro, parsley, sage, dill, oregano, and more.
This unit will start at $299 and the dimensions will be Height: 28” Footprint: 16.5”x16.5”

My two cents, me personally would not get this but it is for many.

It’s not for me either, but I do see the utility of making use of the top surface for something given how much space all our gardens take up. At least in my house (10 machines on counters, 2 on floors).  |

I took the bait & funded this project. I got the unit on 4/8 & it's up & running. First thing I noticed is that it's loud with the water running/splashing back into the tub that holds the water. Aerogardens are much quieter. Only time will tell how the plants grow.

It looks like it uses standard net ports, which is a big plus.

I guess it's a plus but you can't control when the water is pumped. It's on 24 hrs a day. You can control the light though.

Wife got me one. PROS: Not only does it use larger net pots, but the hole is modular and can integrate with MUCH larger pots, even coco coir pots containing *soil* (I know...odd) Integrated app that keeps you updated on harvest times The table is sturdy, allowing me to place an aerogarden on top (which I've done  ). CONS: As mentioned, very loud The "table" is fixed, meaning the light cannot be lowered / raised, as is possible in an aerogarden watering can be a chore, as there is no easy element to remove, as there is in aerogarden. I'm sure owners are saying "what do you mean? There are 3 separate white plastic elements, any of which can be removed!" - this is true, but all those elements are currently UNDER large cabbage leaves and moving them will bruise the leaves. One advantage of aerogardens is they have "out of the way" areas to add water. This lacks that. |

Thanks for the info.
I have seen in person and while a cool concept. Not great for someone with children or pets. I know my pup would tear those plants out. As you mentioned not easy to change water.
I hope you get a nice harvest from it.
On a personal note, I rather another AG then a Twelve.

I've got a chinese cabbage growing in it, having already removed its neighbors, a daikon radish (yes, I started a foot-long radish plant in a hydroponic coir net cup. Stop looking at me like that) and a siberian pea shrub.
I find the Miracle Grow 12 is a great way to start and grow plants until thy are the right size to directly transplant into the garden / pot / raised bed.
The exception is this cabbage - I think i'm going to keep growing it where it is, so as to avoid cabbage loopers.
